Well, we’ve come to the end of our summer out and about, so a big thank you to everyone who has given up their Friday evening and given us the pleasure of your company.

I hope you’ve all enjoyed them as much as I have.

Being the last week before we return to the club evenings, I think we’ll do something a little closer to home and have some fun at the fair and along the sea front, before ending up in a pub for a drink.

We will meet as usual at the Clarence Pier Car Park at 7:45pm, with a view to departing at about 8pm.

Scott Kelby’s World Wide Photowalk was a massive success, with nearly 8000 photographers taking part!

Photographers in Portsmouth meet up early on Saturday Morning for a leisurely walk along Southsea Seafront, talking and taking photos. We had folks from as far a field as Winchester taking part, and often stopped for a chat with interested passers by, to explain what we were up to, answer a technical question, or give details on what a camera club is and what we get up to. With members from a number of clubs, it was great to see everyone mixing in together, I’m sure a number of new friendships were made.

The photo here, is Duncan’s Seawall Walkway, the first image up on the Portsmouth walk’s Flickr group, lots more pictures from the walk will appear over the coming days, so pop along and take a look here.

I can’t finish without a special thank you to Zoe, from the Winchester Club, for organising the event here in Portsmouth. You did a wonderful job.

I look forward to next the one, and if you didn’t join us this time, hopefully, you will for the next one.

Due to a last minute change of destination by those who attended on the 15th, this Friday Evening we plan to actualy visit Hilsea Lido, lines and the surrounding waterside walks and lakes.

And for those wishing to stay on for the darkness, it’s still a great place for some lightpainting :-)
